In order to claim your product is composed of X% natural or naturally derived ingredients a calculation must be undertaken.  Several different calculation methods and certification schemes are available to highlight natural claims.  We believe the natural calculation to the ISO 16128 offers a consistent and most transparent method.  This calculation states that the percentage of natural origin is the weight percent of natural ingredients, and the percent of natural derived ingredients.

MSL is able to undertake this task following the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 16128 – Guidelines on Technical Definitions and Criteria for Natural and Organic Cosmetic Ingredient and Products.
