We were thrilled to welcome Lord Lieutenant Mrs Diane Hawkins, His Majesty The King’s Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, to our HQ recently for the official presentation of our Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade.

At the ceremony, Lord Lieutenant Mrs Diane Hawkins presented us with a Grant of Appointment and a commemorative crystal trophy. This recognises our excellence in international trade, specifically for our outstanding short-term growth. Just three years ago, we were servicing 25 countries; today, roughly half of our business comes from export sales to approximately 60 countries.

During her visit, Lord Lieutenant Mrs Diane Hawkins also had a tour of our labs and following the formal presentation, joined us for a celebratory lunch with our team members, key suppliers and partners, and dignitaries, including Councillor Shaheena Haroon, Mayor of Bury.

Thank you to all of our team members for their hard work and to our founder Angela Davies and chairman, Mark Fenn, for their inspiration and dedication, that has helped MSL grow to be one of the UK’s leading microbiological testing and regulatory houses.
