We are thrilled to have achieved the latest ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation for all our preservative efficacy testing. This includes our pioneering VeganSure® solution, which was the first vegan test suite to market and is now one of the first to be accredited by UKAS.
Registered with The Vegan Society’s Vegan Trademark, VeganSure replaces all animal-derived ingredients with plant-based or synthetic alternatives, such as papaya-derived enzymes, soya bean, and plant peptones, to assure the safety of a cosmetic product in line with its brand’s ethical stance. This enables companies to take a 360° approach to veganism, ensuring their formulations are animal-free from development through to microbiological testing.
We added this to our existing accreditation in February 2022 following an assessment from UKAS, which ensures that both our in-house laboratory and all mandatory testing we perform comply with the updated ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
ISO/IEC 17025:2017 specifies the general requirements for the competence of testing laboratories. The revised standard now incorporates the mandatory tests themselves, as well as the laboratories in which they are performed; previously (ISO 17025:2005), only the latter was accredited.
